How to Maintain Your Wig for Long-Lasting Beauty

Bouncy Hair Care Tips

To keep your bouncy hair looking fresh and maintain the curls, always store it properly after use. Put the wig back in the bag it came with and use the hair net to help keep the curls in shape. Keep it in a safe place to avoid tangling or damage. Avoid hanging your bouncy wigs, because hanging can stretch the hair and make the curls drop over time.

When styling, always use a wide-tooth comb to gently de-tangle the hair instead of a brush. Brushing can loosen the curls and take away the bouncy look. Only use a brush if you want a fuller, less-defined style instead of curls.

Apply just 1–2 drops of serum when needed to keep the hair shiny and soft. There’s no need to use serum every day or every time you wear it, as too much product can weigh the curls down.

To make your curls last longer, use heatless curling methods instead of applying heat often. This helps maintain the bounce and keeps the hair in good condition for longer.

Curly Hair Care Tips

To achieve big, bold, and defined curls, start by gently detangling the hair section by section using a wide-tooth comb or brush. This helps reduce shedding and makes styling easier. Avoid brushing curly hair when it is dry, as this can cause damage, frizz, and unnecessary shedding.

For styling, make your curl mix by combining a lightweight mousse, a few drops of serum, leave-in conditioner, or curl cream (like Curl La La) in a spray bottle with water. Shake well and spray evenly on the hair section by section. After spraying, use a curl brush to define the curls and bring out the best curl pattern. Work through the hair line by line for the best results.

After styling, allow the hair to air dry or use a diffuser/curly dryer for faster drying. Once dry, put the hair net back on and let it sit until you’re ready to wear it. This helps keep the curls in place and maintain the style.

If you want a fuller, more voluminous look, use a wide-tooth comb to gently separate the curls section by section instead of brushing them out.

To keep your curly hair healthy and fresh, deep condition it once in a while with a good leave-in conditioner. This helps restore moisture and brings the curls back to life.

Braided Wig Care Tips

To keep your braided wig neat and long-lasting, always handle it gently and avoid pulling on the braids too much. This helps maintain the style and prevents the lace or cap from tearing.

When not in use, store your braided wig on a wig stand, hanger, or neatly in the bag it came with to help keep its shape and avoid tangling.

To keep it fresh, use a light mousse occasionally to smooth flyaway and keep the braids looking neat. You can also apply a small amount of lightweight oil or serum on the scalp area or braid lengths for shine—avoid using too much product to prevent buildup.

If the wig needs cleaning, wash it gently with lukewarm water and mild shampoo, then let it air dry completely. Do not rub or twist the braids while washing.

For curly ends or loose ends on braided wigs, refresh them with water and a little leave-in conditioner or mousse to maintain the curl pattern.

Always wear your satin bag, scarf, or bonnet when storing or sleeping in it to reduce frizz and help the style last longer.
